Apple made a deal with Shazam, a UK-based organization, for $400 million. Shazam is an audio recognition technology company founded in 1999. Apple positioned Apple Music to be the sole DSP partner of Shazam.
Along with Apple’s current marketing, there’s a possibility of an upcoming boost of 300 million and more US/UK radio listeners. Since Shazam joined forces with Apple, the companies promise to produce a once-in-a-generation platform with their free trial system.
