We have been discussing about artificial intelligence on the channel, lately. In December 2017, an AI-constructed song was released on a few “New Music Friday” playlists on Spotify with huge backing from Spotify executives.
A huge startup environment is surfacing around platforms that give musicians computerized songwriting options, or authorizes the typical internet user to create customized instrumental tracks. However, the financial and legal aspect of music will still be challenging for AI, especially from legacy label executives who made their companies around the profiteering of human-owned copyright.
