Pre-Saves Are the New Pre-Sale!
CD Baby now owns Show.co. Show.co permits fans to save forthcoming releases from artists to their Spotify library in advance, which is called “pre-save." Pre-saves assist streaming to album pre-sales. A few of major musicians have took advantage of pre-saves, like Kendrick Lamar, Avicii, Miley Cyrus, and Fifth Harmony.
Show.co will extend access to the pre-saves to the DIY organization by releasing it to all CD Baby musicians for free. Also, the non-CD Baby musicians can also construct pre-save campaigns through Show.co and will be charged $9 per month.
