Recently, California has approved a bill forcing net neutrality throughout the state, commanding any ISP functioning within the state to comply with net neutrality provisions.
It has been reported that there’s another bill concerning net neutrality in California. The other bill, SB822, rejects compensated prioritization or giving favored treatment of some Internet service to any customer. If an ISP misinterpreted its position on net neutrality to a government agency, then they have committed perjury. Last week, New York governor, Andrew Cuomo signed an arrangement that protects net neutrality.
