YouTube just released its new music service, including ad-free music streaming and the $12 monthly YouTube Premium (music subscription that collides with an ad-free video exploring an entry to original programming. The rebrand positions music at the base of YouTube’s goal to sign-up subscribers.

YouTube executives dispute that the focal point on music doesn’t mean unimportance on original programming. Preferably, the invention of the two services is designed to clear up for customers the benefit of YouTube’s subscription offerings.
