As reported by the Music Industry Research Association (MIRA), the average US musicians collect between $20,000 and $25,000 yearly, while Uber drivers collect $30,000 yearly.
The topmost-grossing origins for artists, including live performances (81%), managing music lessons (47%), and performing in church choirs and other religious services (38%). The average musician spends 14 hours or more performing on a weekly basis.
61% of musicians declared that a music-related earnings “isn’t sufficient to meet their living expenses”. 78% of musicians’ struggle with drinking alcohol at least once a week. 67% of female artists were victims of sexual harassment. In addition, 71% of musicians suffer from panic and anxiety attacks in the UK.
